I searched up for the video on Youtube mainly coz I really like the song "promiscuous" by Nelly Furtado.Haha,I'm still amazed by the revamp in her music...I still remember afew years ago(or was it,MANY years ago?) when she had jetblack,center parting and straight hair.Always tied back in a simple low ponytail or braids,with her large silver hoop earrings and singing "I'm like a bird" and "Turn out the lights".Haha,I didn't really like her music then.Didn't like the beat,her crooning or the lyrics(I'm like a bird,I'll only fly away?Bah,cliche.Or maybe juz not to my taste).That's why when "promiscuous" was played on the radio...I didn't even know that it was her.Not until I passed a music shop and the large poster of her and her new album was displayed on the shop front.And I was like...WAHH?That's Nelly Furtado,I don't even RECOGNISE her!She looks so hot now..very pretty.And not to mention the change in her music!Oh well,I'm not complaining..coz I like her new song.^_^
Justin Timberlake,remember that ex-NSYNC boyband?Lols,he's another one with a change in music as well.
And Jewel?How she used to sing sweet,innocent songs.But when she released a newly revamped album,one with stronger and more aggressive beats..a new sexy look and pose plastered on the cover.She makes it BIG.Oh well,it was then..now she seems to have disintegrated like most artistes.
There are many others,like M2M.Oh my gosh,that sugary sweet girlband..remember?I remember how their saccharine sweetness was so diabetic it gave me a headache(likewise how eating sweet popcorn gives me a headache).How much their voices changed over the years!Or rather,Marion(dunno if I spelt correctly).I don't know where the other M2M girl went to.But ah,Marion's songs are still ok.
Shows how much the media has evolved eh?Music is becoming increasingly sexually suggestive,and the beats are stronger.Sex sells.Lols,maybe in 10years time the media will decide to do away with censorship and come up with an accuse like,"Oh,music is an expression of the individual..and we have no right to repress their creativity.But ah wells,we'll see if that grey area does come in 10 year's time hm?
But yeah,I have to say..I do like Nelly's new song.
